ABOUT US

Home to Hope provides targeted outreach, support, and advocacy services for unaccompanied homeless LGBTQ youth and young adults, and training to those working with youth. Using teams of peers, we connect with youth and young adults (ages 13-24) on the street and in community spaces. With a growing network of collaborators, we support homeless youth and young adults as they seek health and stability.

WHY WE'RE NECESSARY

Addressing the needs of our most vulnerable

In the US, up to 1.6 million youth experience homelessness each year. Very few homeless youth are able to seek housing in emergency shelters due to the lack of shelter beds for young people and shelter admission policies. Once out of their homes, youth are even more vulnerable. They are at high risk for further victimization, unsafe sexual practices, substance use/abuse and mental health issues.
